Gypsies, tramps and thieves!

Its been short and very, very sweet. Good bye abundant heat, good bye lakes and swimming, good bye our dearest friends and family, good bye Minnesota! The gypsies are on the move again, in ten short days we will be in one of our favorite places on earth (perhaps my most favorite place)...Holden Village! The princess will begin first grade in their two room school house and I will be serving as a musician for worship every evening. After a year of full time pastoring and putting music on the back burner I am so very ready to get back on the piano bench. Micaela is really excited (mostly for the hot tub) which makes me excited, too.

So, hello breath taking mountain views, hello chalets and front porches, hello autumn leaves and unpaved paths, hello music and hiking and hot tubs and new faces!

I plan to keep blogging and can be reached at elizabethanndamico@gmail.com if needed. No cell service for us until after Christmas! At that point I should have a very good idea of where our next home will be. Until that point we'll stay the sassy gypsies we are and embrace the sweet ride and all the tramps and thieves we meet along the way.

Are you wondering why in the world we would hide away in the mountains for the next few months...the picture below might give you a better idea!

“I don’t live in either my past or my future. I’m interested only in the present.
If you can concentrate always on the present, you’ll be a happy man.
Life will be a party for you, a grand festival, because life is the moment we’re living now.”

Counting our blessings

One of the sweetest blessings of being back on home turf is spending a lot of time with my nephew and niece (the princess was there, too)! For two weeks I took on being full-time "Auntie Bizibeth" and it was wonderful.  I tried to keep the kiddos as busy as possible...here are some highlights!

Enjoying a day that isn't over 100 degrees! I love the girls' footwear!

Hopefully this is the only time these girls will be in a police car!

Dancing on stage at Penny and Pals

Cuddle buddies

They are fierce competitors on the swings -- trying to see who could "almost" touch the clouds with their feet.

Look at all the fake smiles -- they just loved shopping!

The "big" kids really did love doing math during quiet time
